Yes, Elizabeth "Libby" Burnham is retiring after 25 years with the Shelburne Center Free Library (On Shelburne Center Road, Shelburne). On March 29th at 11am-1pm there will be a reception in her honor and the public is invited to join in sharing their "Thanks".
Libby grew up in Connecticut and moved to Shelburne when she married. She graduated with a masters in library science.
The small 2 room library of Shelburne Center has seen many changes over the years with Libby adding, "The biggest change for me was when we were automated in about 1997". I am sure she has seen many changes with technology over the years and the wealth of information she holds is precious.
You can read more about Libby in a recent article written in THE RECORDER.
"We at Coldwell Banker upton-Massamont REALTORS - THANK YOU, LIBBY, for your years of service and wish you well into your retirement."
