Western Massachusetts real estate sales have risen over the last 5 months, however, MassLive reported yesterday that the Pioneer Valley fell 4% in 2011 according to information released from the REALTOR® Association of Pioneer Valley. To read more . . .

Statistics recently released from our Multiple Listing System shared most towns remaining the same, in number of sales or down slightly. The following towns increased in sales for the 2011 calendar year:
Franklin County

Greenfield +7.1%

Erving +150.0%

Deerfield +75.0%

Turners Falls +50.0%

Hampshire County

Easthampton +28.6%

Granby +8.3%

Otis +100%

Southampton +58.3%

Ware +87.5%

Williamsburg +50.0%

Worthington +150.0%

Up or Down, no matter how confusing reports appear, everyone seems to agree the real estate market is tied to the economy and employment situation and both vary from town to town with marked improvement shown.

One thing is for sure; the good inventory of homes, current list prices and low interest rates, everyone agrees this is the time to buy! </<?xml:namespace>
